Why?

Radicals for Capitalism: A Freewheeling History of the Modern Libertarian Movement by Brian Doherty. Because I didn't realize how many people I had heard of were deeply connected with each other. Also it made me want to study Austrian Economics.
2. What is one of your favorite childhood books?
The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. I just re-read it recently. I always liked Reepicheep, but he struck me as an even better character than I had remembered.
3. Do you have a favorite book of the Bible? Do tell!
Genesis. We did a marathon reading once at church. Amazing book to take in through your ears in a single sitting.
4. What is one book you could read again and again?
The Everlasting Man by G.K. Chesterton.
5. Is there a book you would suggest for Lenten reading? What is it and why?
Let God Be God by Philip Watson. Deep theology that will warm your heart like a devotional book is supposed to.solarbloggerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17506179756577015681noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20942227.post-27621278904750702642008-01-18T21:29:00.000-06:002008-01-18T21:29:00.000-06:00Yes, I expect I'll revisit Middle Earth any number...Yes, I expect I'll revisit Middle Earth any number of times, too.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08235049965406944684noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20942227.post-41193783686146312252008-01-18T19:23:00.000-06:002008-01-18T19:23:00.000-06:00although, you know, I have read the Hammer of God,...although, you know, I have read the Hammer of God, and liked it way back then.

but, I'm Swedish too.

Read Kite Runner last year and loved it.Diane M. Cool. Okay, here's what I'm gonna say:

"I have read many books in my life, and this is definitely one of them. With this work, Rev. Johnson has constructed a narrative that sets him apart from his colleagues—many of whom are distinguished, and great writers to boot. I couldn’t recommend this book any more heartily—read it, and you too will be able to say that you reached the end of it."LutheranHuskerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08982382351776657088noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20942227.post-52055471480947174872008-01-18T14:26:00.000-06:002008-01-18T14:26:00.000-06:00oh i waded thru The Hammer of God once upon a time...oh i waded thru The Hammer of God once upon a time... gotta be lutheran to fully get some of it i'd say. all that swedish...

LP, Tripp & Matt would do excellent reviews... but where's the women? just sayin...Hot Cup Lutheranhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00125425492709186198noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20942227.post-3885048123336611172008-01-18T12:51:00.000-06:002008-01-18T12:51:00.000-06:00You are the second person to suggest Hammer of God...You are the second person to suggest Hammer of God. Have to check it out- even as a RevGal, but mainly as a Lutheran. BTW kids really do not get less labor-intensive, it just changes. Like your book idea, but of course my blogname probably says that.
