Tom Shatel is a sportswriter for the Omaha World-Herald. He wrote an excellent piece about T.J. Simers' hack job on Nebraska last week.
Take a read - he's right about the passion of Nebraska folks for our football. Maybe there isn't much to do, although I think Tom needs to get out and about in Omaha or Lincoln if he thinks there's NOTHING to do. But passion, kept in its place, can be a great thing. Some of us (all right, ME) got a little over-passionate about the loss to USC last weekend. But hey, would you rather we didn't give a damn about our teams, and the young people who play for them?
